Amazing $30 Cartography Humble Bundle Is a Online Gaming Game Master's Fantasy

After a brief run earlier this year, this cartography software collection is back for a limited time that lasts through early December. Hailed as an extensive collection of mapping tools developed by a specialized software company throughout their history, the entire collection is valued at over $1,300. Additionally, there exist three different bundles available here.

The Main Attraction

The standout feature is definitely a lifetime license to the CC3+ software, an industry-standard mapping application that can be used to generate various types including fantasy overworld maps, smaller regional maps, city maps, and most notably, tactical combat environments.

A regional fantasy map created using the CC3+ software platform.

Bundle Tiers

Basic Package

The cheapest bundle tier, at a minimum cost of $1, features merely four from the thirty-nine available products: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Source Maps: Castles!, and Source Maps: Cities!. This one's only for existing CC3+ users, yet it provides fresh fantasy design elements for overworld maps, more than 750 monster tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, over twenty-five top-down castle layouts with 470 associated map tokens, eight complete urban centers, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

Intermediate Package

The eight-product collection starting at fifteen dollars is where things get more interesting through inclusion of permanent CC3+ access, the first Annual volume, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. The Annual represents the annual collection from the company's long-running monthly subscription service featuring multiple CC3+ enhancements like map collections and various other tools. Isometric Cities lets you present urban areas in 3D perspective with isometric views from all sides. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping is a 760-page suitable for novices and experts, full of tips and tutorials for the map-making process.

Full Package

Starting at thirty dollars, the comprehensive package includes all the following:

  • Fractal Terrains 3+
  • Dungeon Creation Tool
  • City Designer 3
  • Cosmic Mapping System
  • Perspectives 3
  • Scene Builder
  • Character Artist 3
  • Fantasy Interior Symbols
  • Contemporary Design Pack
  • Schley Dungeon Collection
  • Symbol Set 5: Cities of Schley
  • Monster Token Collection 2
  • Source Maps: Temples, Tombs and Catacombs
  • World War 2 Interactive Atlas
  • World Builder’s Compendium
  • Cartographer’s Annual Vol 1-17
  • Campaign Cartographer 3+ (Lifetime License)
  • Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities
  • Tome of Ultimate Mapping
  • Fantasy Landscape Symbols
  • Monster Token Set 1
  • Source Maps: Castles!
  • Metropolitan Source Maps

All 17 volumes of Cartographer's Annual are included here, alongside a slew of other resource and asset packs that can help users design entire planets or galaxies, or focus exclusively on traditional fantasy world-building: battle maps, underground complexes, cities, and continents in multiple viewpoints. You can even design character illustrations. For $30 as opposed to $15, the complete collection is so worth it, particularly for mappers with temporary CC3+ access seeking permanent licensing. However, it's clearly more advantageous for cartography beginners since it includes the beginners' tutorials to help you get started. The one caveat here is that while the purchase is available across platforms, the applications only function with Windows systems.

Philanthropic Aspect

Similar to previous bundles, a portion of each sale goes to benefit a nonprofit. For this one, that's Save the Children, established in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb dedicated to enhancing children's welfare globally via educational programs, medical services, and crisis response. Package customization options appear near the page top, though users may also choose their donation amount on the right side of the page. Additionally available is an donation allocation menu immediately below, allowing you to adjust the distribution percentage allocated between the platform, developer, and charity.
